Masked gang steal 14-year-old boy's bike in Nydd Vale Terrace attack

A masked gang assaulted a 14-year-old boy and stole his bike while he was out walking in Harrogate on Halloween.

The teenager was walking with his bike on Nydd Vale Terrace at the junction with Mayfield Terrace when he was approached by the gang.

They then gathered around him before kicking and pulling at his bike, eventually pulling it from his grip.

He was then pushed and pulled about by the group before he managed to run away, leaving his bike behind with the gang.

The suspects are described as being a group of approximately 6-7 people, all dressed in black clothes with their hoods up.

All the suspects were also wearing plain white face masks with smiling faces on them.

The attack took place at around 8.15pm on Monday, October 31.

Police are now conducting an investigation into the incident and are requesting the public's assistance to determine the full circumstances.

In particular, police are appealing for information about anybody seen in the area at the time matching the descriptions of those involved before, during or after the incident.
