Man charged to court after reportedly throwing bike at Harrogate Theatre's doors

Officers were called to reports of a man in an agitated state on Oxford Street at 4am and were on the scene within 15 minutes.

A 37-year-old man from Harrogate was arrested and charged with criminal damage. He will now appear at Harrogate Magistrates Court next month.

Businesses on Oxford Street have raised concerns in the past few months of an increase in anti social behaviour incidents in the area.

Police have now launched Operation Yeehaw in response to the ongoing issue and have promised more "boots on the ground" to tackle the problem.
