Man, 23, appears in court charged with the murder of Mark Wolsey from Harrogate

A 23-year-old man has this morning appeared in court charged with the murder of Mark Wolsey, from Harrogate.

Mr Wolsey, 48, was found seriously injured inside a flat in the Mayfield Grove area of Harrogate, just after 10pm on Friday, March 5.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.Daniel Liam Ainsley, 23, of no fixed address, was charged with Mr Wolsey's murder on Sunday.

Mr Ainsley appeared before York Magistrates' Court on Monday morning.

He spoke only to confirm his name, age and nationality.

No plea was entered.

Mr Ainsley will appear at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday.

He was remanded in custody.
