The 32-year-old from Harrogate had been drinking on Woodbine Terrace when the PCSO's were called to investigate the incident.

After one PCSO requested his details, the male resisted and attempted to leave the area before he was stopped again by the officer.

At this point the man became aggresive, grabbing the PCSO by the neck and his female partner by the wrist.

The PCSO's were able to detain the man until the police arrived. The man then kicked one of the police officers as he was being arrested for assault.

He has now been charged and will appear at Harrogate Magistrates Court.
