A Harrogate schoolgirl is recovering and receiving police support after being found collapsed and distressed under a bridge in Harrogate yesterday morning (April 18).
A member of the public spotted the girl around 8.40am in a distressed state near the town's Dragon Road car park before alerting police.
The girl was taken to Harrogate District Hospital by ambulance for medical checks which did not show any injuries.
Police have confirmed they are not treating the incident as suspicious with investigations stil ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
Officers are liaising with health and education authorities, as well as supporting the girl and her family while enquiries continue.
