The following were dealt with at Harrogate Magistrates Court on January 5:

Aidan Marcus Swindells, 22, of 6 Byland Place, Harrogate, was fined £100 for being drunk and disorderly in Crescent Road. He was fined a further £100 for assaulting a police constable, and was ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.

Issam Adnan, of Flat 1, 1A Royal Parade, Harrogate, was fined £220 for parking on railway property in Harrogate without paying. He was ordered to pay compensation of £6, costs of £150 and a victim surcharge of £22.

Megan Green, 24, of 3 Avenue Place, Harrogate, was fined £220 for travelling on a train without a valid ticket. She was ordered to pay compensation of £1.80, a victim surcharge of £22 and costs of £150.

Robin David Phillips, of 20 Briggate, Knaresborough, was fined £220 for parking on railway property in Pannal without paying. He was ordered to pay compensation of £2, costs of £150 and a victim surcharge of £22.

Nomathemba Richards, of 300A Skipton Road, Harrogate, was fined £220 for travelling on a train without a valid ticket. She was ordered to pay compensation of £8.10, costs of £150 and a victim surcharge of £22.

Stuart Thacker, of 146A Kings Road, Harrogate, was fined £440 for travelling on a train without paying a fare. He was ordered to pay compensation of £1.80, costs of £150 and a victim surcharge of £44.

Christopher Wood, of 14 Belmont Road, Harrogate, was fined £220 for parking on railway property in Harrogate without paying. He was ordered to pay 50p compensation, a victim surcharge of £22 and costs of £150.

The following were dealt with at Harrogate Magistrates Court on January 6:

Fiona Lynne Ramage, 50, of 23 Scargill Road, Harrogate, was given a nine-month conditional discharge for stealing items worth £6.09 from My Local in Cambridge Street, Harrogate. She was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £50. 
For failing to surrender to custody, she was ordered to be detained in the courthouse until the court rose.

Gareth Crossland, 36, of 12A North Street, Ripon, was given a 12-month community order for assault by beating. 
He was ordered to carry out 160 hours of unpaid work and to pay compensation of £75, a victim surcharge of £60 and costs of £620. Magistrates imposed a three-year restraining order to prevent him from contacting the victim.

Ashley Paul Watson, 20, of 59 Gallows Hill, Ripon, was fined £80 for damaging crockery. He was ordered to pay compensation of £20, a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.

Gary John Windsor, 34, of Cavendish House, 23 Robert Street, Harrogate, was given a six-month conditional discharge for using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to provoke fear of violence. 
He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £15 and costs of £85. 
For failing to surrender to custody, he was ordered to be detained in the courthouse until the court rose.

Simon Adrian Donno, 28, of 14 Coppice Way, Harrogate, was ordered to carry out an additional 20 hours of unpaid work for failing to comply with the terms of a previous community order, bringing the total number of hours to 220. He was ordered to pay costs of £40.

Stefan Edmond, 24, of 117 Regent Avenue, Harrogate, was fined £120 for possession of cannabis. He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85. 
Magistrates ordered that the drug be forfeited and destroyed.
