Jordan Hyde, 20, was arrested after police raided his home and found an “array” of weapons, along with several thousand pounds’ worth of drugs including ketamine and MDMA.

Prosecutor Jemima Stephenson said the drugs stash included 972g of cannabis, 195 MDMA tablets and just under 52g of ketamine.

Police also found several weapons including a hunting knife, a knuckle duster, a police-type extendable baton, a hatchet or axe, a sheath knife and a baseball bat, along with drug paraphernalia including weighing scales and grinders.

Jordan Hyde, 20, was arrested after police raided his home and found an “array” of weapons, along with several thousand pounds’ worth of drugs including ketamine and MDMA.

Officers seized Hyde’s three mobile phones, but he failed to give them the PIN number to his devices, said Ms Stephenson.

He ultimately admitted one count of possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply in relation to the MDMA and two counts of possessing a Class B drug with intent to supply regarding the cannabis and ketamine.

He also admitted failing to disclose information to police in relation to his mobile phones.

Hyde, of Knaresborough Road, Harrogate, appeared for sentence on Monday knowing that an immediate jail sentence was all but inevitable despite him having no previous convictions for drug supply.

Ms Stephenson said police were ultimately able to gain access to his phones which showed incriminating text messages or “traffic” between Hyde and his customers.

Andrew Walker, for Hyde, said his client was a drug user himself with mental-health problems and needed cannabis to sleep.

Mr Enoch QC told Hyde: “I’m convinced you are a solo, but very busy, drug-dealer of a multiplicity of different types of drugs…and I have no doubt whatsoever you were in it for significant financial gain.

“You had all the necessary drug paraphernalia…and a fearsome array of weaponry (including) a knuckle duster (and) an Asp. You are no wilting violet.”

Jailing Hyde for three years, Mr Enoch QC told him: “You are a straightforward drug-dealer.”

Hyde will serve half of that sentence behind bars before his eventual release on prison licence.
