Five hurt in Pateley Bridge brawl

A brawl which broke out near Pateley Bridge in the early hours of Saturday morning has left five people with injuries.

Police are now appealing for witnesses after the fight which was reported in Bridghouse Gate.

A number of people were involved in the fight, say police, which began outside the Royal Oak Pub before continuing along the main road towards Pateley Bridge and Costcutters petrol station.

Five people were hurt, say police, with injuries ranging from bruising to a broken nose.

Officers are now appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident to contact them.
