Police in Harrogate are appealing for information about the following crimes which have been reported in the town in the past week.

l A man was caught stealing washing from a line at Newby Crescent on Friday morning. He was disturbed at 10.55am. Washing was also reported stolen from a line at a house on Harewood Road 15 minutes before, and could have been stolen anytime after 9am.

l A petrol lawnmower and black and aluminium mountain bike were stolen from a garage on St Ronan’s Road after it was broken into overnight last Tuesday.

l A rear patio glass door to a house on Kenilworth Avenue was smashed sometime between Saturday, May 25 and last Thursday.

l Laptops, cameras, games consoles and jewellery were stolen from a house on Regent’s Place after burglars entered an insecure window sometime between 1.45pm and 10.30pm on Saturday, June 1.

l A Dyson vacuum cleaner was stolen from a garage on Knox Avenue overnight last Sunday.

l A blue Novara Randonee bike was stolen from a garage on Hollins Road sometime between last Friday, May 24, and last Wednesday, May 29.

l A glass front door and window to a shop on Leeds Road was smashed at around 1am on Monday, May 27.

l Vandals left graffiti on a house on Westcliffe Grove overnight on Saturday, June 1.

Police are urging homeowners to take extra care as the warmer weather arrives, ensuring windows and doors are locked and keeping valuables out of view.
