POLICE are appealing for help to trace a wanted man in Harrogate.
Darren Colin Beeforth, 26, is wanted after failing to attend a hearing for breaching a suspended sentence for affray.
Beeforth, whose current address is unknown, was charged with affray following an incident at a pub in Cambridge Road in September 2 last year.
A bench warrant was issued by York Crown Court on September 21 and police officers have since been trying to trace him.
Officers are now appealing for help from the public.
PC Dave Mackay of Harrogate police said: “Beeforth has shown a blatant disregard for the justice system and I am appealing for the public to help us locate him so he can appear in court and face up to his actions.
“It is believed that he is still in the Harrogate area and I urge anyone who sees him around or knows where he is to contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as they can.”
Anyone with information should contact PC Mackay on 0845 6060247 quoting reference 12110160446. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
