Harrogate Male Voice Choir raised more than £450 in aid of rebuilding Girlguiding’s Birk Crag Centre.

The 50-strong choir, under its musical director Patrick J Lee, held a concert in aid of the building fund.

The concert, which also included performances by local Guides, was greatly enjoyed by the audience at Harrogate Baptist Church.

A Guides spokeswoman said: “Girlguiding North Yorkshire West is extremely grateful to the choir for entertaining everyone for such a good cause.

“The new building will provide a residential activity centre for guiding groups and for the local community. We have already raised three-quarters of the funds needed to start building and work should commence this summer.

“Please email birkcrag@girlguidingnyw.org.uk if you would like to support this important venture.”
