Church to serve up sizzling treat

A sizzling sausage breakfast will be served up at Kirby Malzeard on Sunday morning to help raise funds for Christian Aid projects.

The Reverend Caroline Falkingham, rector of the Fountains Benefice, joined chairman Caroline Maher and members of the charity committee to sample the tasty bangers that will be served for a Big Brekkie fundraiser at St Andrew’s Church at 9.30am.

The Big Brekkie will be followed by a service at 10.30am, when Peter Wright, of Christian Aid, will talk about the charity’s work.

“Everyone is very welcome to our Big Brekkie and service, where we hope to see plenty of friends, old and new,” said Rev Falkingham.

Mrs Maher added: “The event is a great way to catch up with one another over breakfast while raising much-needed funds to support Christian Aid projects. Please make it a date and pay us a visit – the sausages are delicious.”

Sausage sandwiches and teas and coffees will be dished up in exchange for donations as part of a national campaign running until May 21.
