Jet Aire Services, a drainage and civil engineering contractor based at Aberford, is planning to pick up new work after investing £2m in its fleet capability with the addition of five recycler units.
The company bought its first JHL FlexLine 414 recycler last year and now has six in total after buying two more and signing a two-year lease agreement on another three.
The Danish-manufactured FlexLine 414 uses recycling technology to clean and re-use water for high-pressure water-jetting on site, making it environmentally friendlier than alternatives.
It is also 30 per cent more powerful than standard equipment and helps to complete urgent waste-removal and cleaning projects more quickly.
There are only 10 such vehicles in the UK and Jet Aire’s units are the only ones based in the North.
Darren Pavan, director of Jet Aire Services, said: “FlexLine 414 units are ideal for de-silting, large-diameter pipe-cleaning and many of the most challenging industrial cleaning and waste removal tasks.
“Their energy-efficient technology also reduces environmental impact.
“The acquisition of our first FlexLine 414 proved to be a highly cost-effective investment and it has provided a faster response time for our clients.
“The addition of another five units will further increase the speed and efficiency of Jet Aire’s operation.”
Jet Aire Services provides a range of professional drainage solutions to commercial, industrial and domestic clients.
It was originally established in 1985 as a drainage franchisee in a village outside York and was bought by the current managing director, chartered surveyor Charlie Kirk, in 1999.
The company, which employs nearly 100 staff, has a head office at Aberford, south of Wetherby, and another depot in Middlesbrough.
In 2017 Jet Aire turned over £7.5m and broadened its service capability with the launch of a groundworks division.
This provides surfacing, block-paving, fencing and civil engineering works for clinets including housebuilders, highways operators and local authorities.
Jet Aire is accredited and approved by many of the environmental and drainage service industry’s leading bodies and holds both the internationally recognised ISO 9001, ISO 14001 standards for quality management.
