A cafe which caters for businesses on Cardale Park in Harrogate has been taken over by new management.

Local businessman Steve Marlowe and Yorkshire-born Andrew Copley have taken over The Hub and plan to serve a whole new range of food and drink, as well as using the cafe as a networking venue.

Steve recently returned to Yorkshire after running a cafe devastated by earthquakes in New Zealand. He is hoping to bring a taste of the antipodean coffee culture to Harrogate.

“The Hub is a great venue for both business meetings and relaxing lunches but we think it has the potential to be an ideal venue for networking and sharing services,” he said.

“Cardale Park is home to such a diverse range of businesses and we want to bring them all together, so what better way to do that than with quality coffee and delicious food?

“The New Zealand coffee culture is of a very high standard and, after training over there, I wanted to bring a slice of it back to Harrogate. The roasters will actually stop selling you their beans if they don’t like the way you make your coffee - needless to say I had a tough audience to please!”

He added: “We’re looking forward to meeting all of our customers both old and new.”

The Hub provides a range of hot and cold meals, fresh sandwiches, homemade cakes, tea, coffee and drinks, as well as outside catering for meetings and events. The venue has free wifi.
