Birstwith CE School News: School will participate in World Book Day on March 8 when we hope the children will come to school dressed as their favourite book character, with the appropriate book accompanying them. Our school choir - under the excellent guidance of Mrs Paxton will, again, be entering a singing competition which will form part of the Harrogate Music Festival. This is due to take place on Saturday, March 16, at Harrogate Ladies’ College. School’s photographer will be taking the very popular, contemporary type class group photos during this month which, as usual, will be offered for sale to parents. On Thursday, March 21 at 3pm, and in anticipation of the children’s Easter holiday, there will be an egg-rolling competition and fund raising for a charity in the form of a coin egg.
