Head of the Visual and Performing Arts Faculty Samantha Buckley explained that the request has been put out to meet the school’s aim to teach every Year 7 student to play a musical instrument from September.

“Please let us have all your unwanted or unused flutes, clarinets, trumpets and trombones and donate them to our young people,” said Ms Buckley.

“We need to collect all instruments this term so that we can get them in full working order before the new intake arrive in September.”

Donations can be left at Main Reception desk, send it with a student marked for the attention of the Music Department, or phone 01937 833466, or contact Ms Buckley at [email protected]
