As many as 2,000 gin enthusiasts are expected to flock to Ripley Castle lakeside this weekend for what’s being billed as “Harrogate’s first independent gin festival.”.
Organisers are reporting that the first-ever The Gin Rocks Festival this Saturday is extremely close to completely selling out.
This new adults-only event will see local independent gin producers coming together to share all that’s gin-tastic about the nation’s current top tipple.
And there will be a selection of top DJs providing music on Saturday night including Bestival star and Ibiza resident DJ Luv*Jam with live saxophone from musican Matt Newby.
Being held from 6pm to 11.30pm, among the gin producers will be Sloemotion, Whittaker’s Gin, Poetic License Distillery and Harrogate Tipple which is handcrafted from Harrogate ingredients.
There will also be fine local food, including Reds Ture BBQ.
And leading tonic water company Fevertree will be coming along to offer their assistance and professional knowledge together with a talk on the history of gin.
The Gin Rocks Festival is strictlyf or over-18s.
There is a small chance that a limited number of tickets may still be available on the door.
