One of the properties is at Fewston Reservoir and lies within the Nidderdale AONB.

The ancient barn is a grade II-listed building and is set in almost half an acre of land. It has been given a £40,000 guide price by the auctioneers.

Also located in the AONB, the second barn, which is not a listed building, is close to Thruscross Reservoir. On a site of almost half an acre in size, the barn has a guide price of £75,000.

Paul Thompson, managing director of auction house Pugh, said: “The two barns are in stunning Nidderdale locations, both with good access to the A59, and to Harrogate, Skipton and beyond.

“Potentially they would both make fabulous conversions to residential accommodation and consultation with the local authority planning department would be an essential first port of call for any potential buyers.”

Auctions registration closes at noon on February 22.
