To help customers become more water and energy efficient, Yorkshire Water  has some great tips on how simple changes to your daily routine can help make big savings to your water usage and your bank balance:

Spending one less minute in the shower could save up to £100 per year.

Using your kitchen appliances more carefully, such as only filling the kettle with the amount of water you need and making sure your washing machine has a full load can save nearly £50 a year.

Using a washing up bowl could save £30 a year on wasted hot water.

Turning down your room thermostat by just one degree can save between £80-£85 per year .

Using a watering can rather than a hose could save £15 per year.
