Nick Alcock, Senior Associate at Dacre, Son & Hartley in Knaresborough, said: “We’ve been in Knaresborough for over 40 years, and are one of 34 agents operating in the HG5 area.

“We take great pride in the fact we consistently sell more homes than any other estate agent in this area.

“Our team works hard to make sure every single listing gets the exposure it needs, and we have a detailed, person-centred approach to our service, so clients are always well informed.

“With many clients coming back to us to sell their properties years down the line, we also have plenty of personal recommendations amongst family members.

“Last year we acted for several generations within a number of families, as well as for neighbours and friends of clients whose homes we had successfully sold.

“It’s not uncommon to see several of our ‘for sale’ signs in the same street and we are always wholeheartedly committed to driving sales and achieving the best results for our clients.”

From the High Street, Dacre, Son & Hartley employees a team of three experienced property professionals and currently has properties for sale across all price sectors.

Nick added: “Despite the initial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, we were very busy throughout the second half of 2020, as many people reflected on their property requirements and made the decision to either downsize, upsize, re-locate or buy their first home.

“The stamp duty break gave the property market a welcome boost, and it’s been particularly rewarding to see so many first-time buyers take their first steps on the property ladder.

“As we sell every type of property, from one-bedroom apartments through to grand homes worth over £1 million, and provide mortgage and survey services too, we have been able to support vendors and buyers every step of the way throughout a very unusual year.”
