Harrogate's best-known hotel is launching a new dining experience this weekend in an initiative hailed as the "beginning of the business springing back into life."

Starting on Saturday, July 4, the Double Tree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel and Spa will be launching its “Majestic Weekends”, making use of its extensive landscaped lawns for picnics and afternoon teas.

Over the last few weeks, management and staff at the 184-bedroom hotel, which has remained open throughout the pandemic for key workers, have been readying public areas ahead of the relaxation of Covid-19 lockdown regulations.

Being held on Saturday and Sundays from mid-morning to early evening, guests will be able to enjoy a number of different alfresco dining options and drinks packages.

These include cream tea, afternoon tea or a picnic in the beautiful Frederick’s Piano Lounge & Terrace; three-course meal in the stunning Carters Champagne Bar & Grill, and “Host a Roast” on a Sunday, with family-sized Roast Dinner platters.

Double Tree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel and Spa's general manager Andy Barnsdale said: “We can’t wait for Saturday and to launch our Majestic Weekends.

"For us, this is an important step in welcoming guests back, and we have gone to great lengths to ensure we can do this in a safe and responsible manner.

“I’m delighted to say that we are bringing back into play Frederick’s Piano Lounge & Terrace and Carters Champagne Bar and Grill, which have already been prepared ahead in advance, with tables being socially distanced.”

“Just four months after officially celebrated the completion of a £15m refurbishment of the hotel Covid forced us to hit the pause button. We were also a week away from the grand opening of our £2m state-of-the-art spa and wellness centre, The Harrogate Spa.

“The launch of Majestic Weekends is the beginning of us springing back into life.
