The takeaway is offering up to 50 free nutritional meal alternatives a day to parents from their sites in Headingley and Harrogate to lend a helping hand during an already difficult time. The meal, which has been created by founder Paul Baron, will include chicken, salad, rice, and a sauce made from vegetables.

Mr Baron said: “Being a father myself, I know times can be tough and the recent decision isn’t one that helps at all during a period when those who are in need should be getting support.

"When I heard the news, I just knew I had to do something to help locals throughout Leeds and Harrogate. Even if it just helps one family who could do with a school meal, I’ll be happy. I would ask any family if they need a meal for their children; please pop by, we would be glad to help.”

The meals will be available from Wednesday, October 28 until Sunday, November 1, for parents across Leeds and Harrogate to order online and pick-up for free each day from 5pm.
