Harrogate Asda has partnered with Uber Eats for a trial delivery service.

Customers can shop in the same way as they would when ordering from a restaurant via the Uber Eats app. Once confirmed, the order is picked in-store by Asda colleagues before being collected and delivered by a courier using the Uber Eats app.

With no minimum basket size needed to place an order, customers can shop their favourite products for a convenient, contactless and cash-free delivery.

Simon Gregg, Vice President of Online Grocery at Asda, said: “We’re pleased extend our rapid grocery delivery partnership with Uber Eats to customers in Harrogate.

“This gives customers near the store more choice in how they shop with us and offers yet another way to quickly and conveniently get their favourite branded and own-brand products delivered to the doorstep.

“Customers can use the Uber Eats app to select from hundreds of items for delivery in the same way they would shop for a takeaway.”

Toussaint Wattinne, Uber Eats General Manager, added: “I am delighted to be partnering with Asda for our first major grocery partnership in the UK.

“Uber Eats is looking forward to making sure customers can quickly and conveniently order groceries and treats, and I know this partnership will offer even more choices for customers using the Uber Eats app.”

Mark Buck, Store Manager at Asda Harrogate, said: “I’m pleased that customers are now able to order groceries from the store for quick, convenient delivery via the Uber Eats app.”
