HARROGATE RETRO: Step back in time with memories of May Day celebrations from 2002 to 2008

This weekend, the first bank holiday of the month, would usually see hundreds of people enjoying May Day galas and parades.

This weekend, the first bank holiday of the month, would usually see hundreds of people enjoying May Day galas and parades.

But, since most of the celebrations have been cancelled for the second year due to Covid-19, we decided to take a look back at all the events you have enjoyed over the years.

Youngsters can be seen dancing around the maypole and being crowned May Queens while groups, such as scouts and brass bands, take part in street parades.
