Number of coronavirus deaths at Harrogate hospital rises to 32

The latest figures released by NHS England confirm that the total number of coronavirus deaths at Harrogate District Hospital has now risen to 32.

Sunday's statement from NHS England showed that across Yorkshire and the North East, a further 83 people have died, and 482 across England as a whole.

NHS England said the patients who died were aged between 34 and 104 years old, and six of them had no known underlying health conditions. The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals across England stands at 14,400.

Last week, Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust shared the uplfiting news that 51 of Harrogate District Hospital's inpatients have recovered from coronavirus and been discharged, as of April 16.
