The figures were released on Sunday, October 25.

The figures confirmed that two people died in hospital in Barnsley.

One person died in hospital in Bradford.

Two people died in hospitals in Calderdale.

Four people died in hospitals in Doncaster.

One person died in hospital in Hull.

One person died in hospital in Rotherham.

Three people died in hospital in Sheffield.

The death toll in the region now stands at 3,226.

In England, a total of more 76 people have died.

Five people died in the East of England, two people died in London, 26 people died in the Midlands, 20 people died in the North West, seven people died in the South East and two people died in the South West.

Patients were aged between 43 and 100 years old.

The total number of deaths in England is 31,819.

NHS England publishes the number of patients who have died in hospital and tested positive for COVID-19 in England.

Since Tuesday, April 28 NHS England and NHS Improvement also reports the number of patient deaths where there has been no COVID-19 positive test result, but where COVID-19 is documented as a direct or underlying cause of death on part 1 or part 2 of the death certification process.
