'We have enough in stock' - Harrogate NHS Trust's statement on availability of PPE

While the hospice itself has a ten-bed inpatient unit with clinical teams providing 24-hour care, seven days a week, many other staff members are caring for patients and families out in the community and in people’s homes.

The equipment is vital in reducing the risk of coronavirus to both staff and patients but supplies are low across the country.

Items needed include:

- Surgical masks

- Fluid resistant surgical masks (type IIR)

- Disposable fluid resistant long sleeve gowns

- Eye protection – face visors or protective glasses

- Filtering face piece respirator masks (FFP3)

While the hospice currently has supplies of plastic aprons and gloves, it says any more of these would be gratefully received.

If anyone is able to help with any of these items, call Saint Michael’s on 01423 879687 or email [email protected]
