The stars are joined by TV presenter Steph McGovern, football pundit Chris Kamara, singer Gareth Gates, comedian Paul Chuckle and many other celebrities from Yorkshire and beyond to say thank you to doctors, nurses, healthcare and support staff who will be working under difficult conditions to look after coronavirus patients in the new hospital in Harrogate.
Harrogate hotelier Simon Cotton, was asked to help create the emotional video, as he is hosting many of the Nightingale team at the White Hart Hotel.
He said: "A friend of ours in the NHS challenged actor Neil Grainger and I to bring together messages of support for the amazing staff due to start work this weekend at the Nightingale Hospital Yorkshire and the Humber, based in Harrogate.
"We were overwhelmed by the response and the video had to be edited three times before being shown to all the NHS staff who are being inducted this week as we couldn't keep up with the number we were getting in.
Harrogate Theatre bosses take 20% pay cut in battle to save town's leading arts venue"What started out as something we thought would be great if we manged to get half a dozen famous people, turned into what you see now and we still have more videoe messages that have yet to be seen from the likes of comedians like Alan Carr, Harry Hill and Josh Widdecombe through to actresses like Joanne Frogatt and more - this is all to show them how much people care and are rooting for them on the frontline.
"The video has turned out to be both moving and motivating for the brilliant Nightingale team and upon public release has also got a fantastic repsonse too.
"Ultimately it was a team effort which reflects the point that 'we're all in this together' ....and we couldn't have made this without a lot of help from our friends. I was very proud however to be classed as part of #TeamNightingale by the senior team staying with us at the White Hart Hotel as they have said the hotel workers have definitely been part of the team."
