Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity tweeted today: "Can you help? As is being highlighted nationally, the shortage in the NHS of long-sleeved gowns as part of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for colleagues is proving to be an acute challenge.

"At the Trust, we are doing OK for the next few days, but we need to plan ahead so we don't run out of stock. We have a few initiatives under way already to increase our stock, but more needs to be done.

"We are asking our local community to help us if possible. We need gowns which have sleeves to below the elbow and be water resistant. We were thinking about some of the gowns worn at the hairdressers, but are open to suggestions from anywhere. If you can help, please email [email protected]. Thank you so much."
