Estate agent signs up deal

A Bardsey-based estate agent has signed up to a deal with St Gemma’s Hospice.

For every property Furnell Residential sells in the next 12 months, it will make a contribution to the Leeds-based charity.

Ben Furnell, managing director, of Furnell Residential, said: “We are delighted and privileged to have entered into this partnership with St Gemma’s.

“Like so many families in the area we have experienced at first-hand the expert care they provide during extremely difficult times.

“This partnership is an appropriate way to acknowledge our gratitude and support their on-going work, particularly at a time when fundraising has been so badly affected due to the Covid pandemic.”

During the previous 12 months St Gemma’s supported over 3,000 local people and needs to raise £20,000 every day to continue to provide its services and activities.

Georgia Featherstone, corporate partnerships manager at St Gemma’s Hospice said: “St Gemma’s wouldn’t exist without the amazing and on-going support of the local community.

“St Gemma’s care touches the hearts of hundreds of Leeds families every year and we are so grateful to people and companies such as Furnell Residential for their generous and vital support.”

She added: “Every penny raised really does make a difference and funds expert care and support for people living with a terminal illness and their families.”
