The school created an Eco-Warrior team who lead the drive to becoming eco-friendly and introduced activities.

A spokesman said: “Our school achieved the award for participating in activities. We have planted new trees in their school grounds, visited local woods, reduced carbon emissions, recycled ink cartridges, held tree parties, created tree champions and joined in various other Woodland Trust activities.

“The pupils have been brought together in achieving this award during these times. As a school we have worked together in our homes to celebrate trees and the planet.

“Every member of our wider school community has in some way contributed into making our school a greener, more eco-friendly environment for our children.”
