Senior staff take up new roles at Rossett at start of new term

Rossett School in Harrogate has heralded the start of the academic year with new appointments among its senior staff.

The news follows a summer of successful GCSE and A-Level results and the ongoing £800,000 investment in facilities.

Laura Macaulay joins the school, from Featherstone, as Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare.

Chris Stone, who starts his fourth year at Rossett, becomes Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for the Curriculum (Teaching, Learning and Assessment).

Two current Assistant Headteachers, Mark Richardson and Andy Norrington, complete the core SLT team, within the wider extended leadership team.

Headteacher, Helen Woodcock said: “I am delighted to welcome Mrs Macaulay to Rossett.”

She added: “She will be a tremendous asset to our school, especially with such exciting times ahead.

“I am looking forward to working with her and with Mr Stone in his new role.

“I am confident that, with the support of the wider school team, they will help spur the school on to even greater success.”

The Senior Leadership Team have the overall responsibility for the strategy of the school and target-setting.
