Schools in running for top parentmagazine awards

Harrogate Ladies College and Highfield Prep have been shortlisted for Independent School of the Year awards in the Independent School Parent Magazine Awards.

Both received the news this month and will wait to hear the final decisions which are being announced in October later this year.

The prestigious awards highlight the quality of student experience and celebrate the outstanding achievements across independent schools.

While Harrogate Ladies College is in the running for Girls School of the Year, Highfield has been shortlisted in the Prep School of the Year category for the second year in a row.

Harrogate Ladies College Principal Sylvia Brett said: “We were delighted to receive the news that Harrogate Ladies College has been shortlisted for Girls School of the Year and to hear that the hard work of our outstanding staff and pupils has been recognised by the panel at this stage.

“It’s an honour to be shortlisted alongside so many other outstanding schools and we look forward to hearing the panel’s final decision later in the year.”

Head of Highfield Prep James Saville said: “We were all thrilled to hear that Highfield has been shortlisted for Prep School of the Year.

“We have had another fantastic year and are extremely proud of everyone within our school community whose contributions make Highfield the very special place that it is.”
