School of the Week: Highfield Prep School

The pupils and teachers pictured are part of the Harrogate Ladies’ College family of schools which includes Highfield Prep School and Bankfield Nursery and Pre-Prep. Together they deliver excellent education for boys aged two-11 and girls aged two-18 years.

James Savile, Head of Highfield, began his teaching career 24 years ago. He said: “It is my aim to continue to develop the school as a beacon of educational excellence that gives pupils a strong sense of community, respect for both themselves and for others and a lifelong love of learning.”

Sylvia Brett, Principal of the HLC family of schools, said: “There is so much happening on a daily basis to inspire children of all ages, which enables them to achieve great things and be the very best that they can be.”
