School given £500 boost

Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire has donated £500 to Aspin Park Academy in Knaresborough, which the Academy will use to buy outdoor equipment for its Early Years Foundation Stage area.

The Wetherby Road-based Academy works to ensure that its children enjoy a stimulating and diverse education, and the welcome donation from Taylor Wimpey will enable essential items to be buy for its Early Years Foundation Stage area at a time where outdoor learning is more important than ever.

“The new equipment will help enhance our younger children’s learning and will give the whole team a boost in what has been a challenging year. It is fantastic to receive support from a local business.”

Steven Ball, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: “We’re proud to be able to donate to Aspin Park Academy in order for them to purchase new equipment for their children.

Schools like this one mean so much to the local community and often see generations of children walk through their doors.

“We know schools are having to find new ways to raise money due to COVID-19 stopping fundraising events, so we are delighted to be able to help out during this time.”

Aspin Park Academy is near Taylor Wimpey’s Trinity Fields development.
