Pre-school marks national nursery practitioner day

National Nursery Practitioner Day was recently celebrated by Oatlands Pre-school with an appreciation wall.

Launched in 2018 by Co-op Childcare the day is to help early years sector nursery workers feel special.

Oatlands, although not a nursery, was thrilled with the idea and joined in the celebration.

Claire Temple, Chair of Trustees noted: “We loved the idea of celebrating our hard-working practitioners with their own special National Day.

“We particularly loved the idea that Co-op Childcare introduced of setting up an Appreciation Wall where parents and children could share positive feedback and thanks about the awesome work practitioners do.

“Our Thank You Appreciation Wall will remain displayed at Pre-school for the following week so we can continue to recognise and value the genuinely inspiring work that our early years practitioners do, each and every day.”

Oatlands parent Kerry Robinson said: “I cherished spending time with my daughter as we worked together on our appreciation message.”
