Laptops donated to schools
King James’s School in Knaresborough and Boroughbridge High School were given the computers to help students who could not afford technology, after striking a deal with Currys PC World.
The finance came from a generous legacy left to Rotary in Knaresborough by the late Alan Waugh, a retired teacher.

Hide AdRotary spokesman Brian Souter said: “This is exactly the sort of thing that Alan would have wanted his money to be spent on!”
Paul McIntosh, Acting Head at King James’s School said: “On behalf of the school, I offer our greatest thanks for this incredibly generous donation”.
