Knaresborough school welcomes Shadow Stealers author

Daniel, whose books include Firebird Chronicles and the soon to be released Shadow Stealers, shared his stories with the primary and secondary pupils.

The children enjoyed dressing up as characters from his stories asked questions about his books, and tips for writing their own books.

A school spokesman said: “At The Forest School there is an active book club which meets fortnightly to encourage and support pupils with their reading and literacy skills.

“This club also helps pupils express personal views and enjoy sharing the stories they have read. Several pupils are currently writing their own books with the help of Mrs Steele who runs this club.

“Daniel’s visit was a great opportunity for our children to meet a successful author and it was enjoyed by all.”
