Knaresborough school confirms multiple Covid cases

King James's School in Knaresborough has confirmed two students in Year 11 and a staff member have tested positive for Covid-19.

The school says the cases appear to be community-related and are unconnected.

Anyone who has been in close contact with those affected has been contacted by the school and told to self-isolate and a letter has been sent to parents.

Acting Headteacher, Paul McIntosh, wrote: "Please be assured we will be monitoring the situation very closely and communicate accordingly.

He says the school is continuing to work closely with Public Health England, the Department for Education and the local authority.
