The school’s links to partners in countries including Nepal, Japan, the USA, and Peru helped to impress judges from the British Council which awards the accreditation to schools.

John Rolfe from the British Council said: “The school’s fantastic international work has rightfully earned it this prestigious award.

“Adding an international dimension to children’s education ensures they are truly global citizens and helps prepare them for successful future careers in an increasingly global economy.

“Rossett’s status as an ambassadorial school is further strengthened by its efforts to support and mentor other schools to embrace international education.”

The Modern Foreign Languages department at Rossett has also been named top of the league tables in North Yorkshire for value added during students’ time at the school.
