Enterprising youngsters make money for outing

Children at Nun Monkton Foundation Primary have been trying to earn enough money to pay for a whole school trip in the summer term.

They were given a budget to buy produce and decide what they could use it for. In three groups they made recipe books, paracord products (bracelets and keyrings) bath bombs and ran a raffle. These were then sold, for a profit, on Knaresborough market.

“The children have yet to to decide where they want to go, as they will need to take into account the cost of transport as well,” added a school spokesman.
