Dance star Kaymia

Created by professional dancers Matt Flint and Tom Shilcock, the outfit awarded the Boroughbridge High 7D pupil a Capezio dance star which includes £100 towards dance classes, free tickets to CYD and goodies after he sent in a video of him in action.

The 12-year-old said: “I’m addicted to dance. I dance every day, anywhere and everwhere.

“Through dance I have accomplished many things I didn’t think possible, including dancing solo at Wembley.

“I’ve made lots of great friends and met so many awesome talented artists.

“I am always ready for the the next step and am really excited to have been chosen as a CYD young star.”

CYD? was created by dance professionals Matt Flint and Tom Shilcock to create opportunities for young dancers in the industry.

A school spokesman said: “Congratulations to Kaymia. It is a a huge achievement in the world of dance.”
