Your chance to get involved as Harrogate hails its business heroes at the Harrogate Advertiser Excellence in Business Awards
The newest backer of the Harrogate Advertiser Excellence in Business Awards is urging other businesses to sponsor the remaining award categories.
There are still four awards available for sponsorship – Apprentice of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Digital and Technological Development Award, and Best Large Company (over 50 employees) – and Debi Ferriday, director of Impression Recruitment, says that joining the list of supporters would be “definitely worthwhile”.
Impression Recruitment recently became the awards’ newest supporter, when it sponsored the Best Newcomer award.
“The awards are a very important thing for the business community in the district, and as a business that itself is only two years old, the Best Newcomer category could not be more appropriate,” said Ms Ferriday.
“If any business out there is thinking of sponsoring one of the remaining categories, I’d say go for it – it’s definitely worthwhile. We take every opportunity to support independent brands – that’s what it’s all about for us – and the awards do just that. They give a real boost to the area, and sponsoring them can give your business a real boost too.”
The overall awards sponsor is Harrogate estate agent Verity Frearson, and the other individual category sponsors are:
CNG Ltd – Community Initiative of the Year
Yorkshire Agricultural Society – Best Rural Business
Rudding Park– Tourism Award
Berwins Solicitors – Employer of the Year
Harrogate Borough Council – Sustainability Award
Leathers the Accountants – Best Family-Run Business
Si Recruitment – Best SME (under 50 employees)
Cicada Communications – Business of the Year
The awards, which are now in their 15th year, are one of the highlights of the region’s business calendar, and are open to entrants from across the circulation ares of the Harrogate Advertiser series, which include the whole of the Harrogate District, as well as Wetherby, Tadcaster and villages east of Leeds.
Businesses may enter as many categories as they like, free of charge, at www.harrogatebusinessawards.co.uk. The deadline for entries is February 28.
The winners will be announced at a black-tie event hosted by Harry Gration MBE at Pavilions of Harrogate on April 2.
