"If you are buying online during lockdown see if you can buy it locally or whether your favourite shop in town is doing click-and-collect or your favourite café or restaurant is running a takeaway service.

"If you are shopping for Christmas presents why not hold off until 3 December and buy gifts in our town centres supporting local employment and local businesses?

“If it’s a cafe or food shop and it’s open for takeaways, then please continue to use it.”

“Independent local businesses are the bedrock of our communities; they are what make Harrogate special.

“Collectively we need to come together to support them by either buying from them now, when possible, and certainly in the future.

"STAY, PLAY AND BUY LOCAL."

“At a national level, the Lib Dems will continue to lobby Government to make sure there is the right support for all levels of our local businesses to survive.”

Harrogate Advertiser’s #supportourindies campaign

We are inviting our independent traders to get in touch with us so we can do our bit to help spread the word and give them a helping hand in promoting their business through lockdown. We want to champion the positive things we can all do to help the the town’s economy overcome these troubled times.
