Wanted: IoD seeks new regional chairperson

The Institute of Directors (IoD) is seeking a new chair to become the voice of business for Yorkshire and the North East.

The successful applicant will oversee a newly created ‘super region’ covering Yorkshire and the North East, which encompasses six local branches.

IoD regional director Natalie Sykes said: “Following the merger of our Yorkshire and North East regions, this is an opportunity to be one of the premier voices within the Northern Powerhouse, a true champion for the region and business, building on our market-leading events and professional development courses.”

Entries have now opened for the IoD’s Director of the Year Awards 2020 – the annual search for the most talented business leaders in Yorkshire and the North East.

The closing date for entries is March 30.

The winners will be announced at a black-tie dinner held at the Principal York Hotel on July 2, 2020.
