Additionally, BID levy payers can also still apply for one of its coronavirus reopening grants, match-funded to as maximum of £750, which can now be used to fund ecommerce websites and improve existing ones.
Harrogate BID Acting Chair Sara Ferguson said: “Now is the time to support our home-grown businesses more than ever before. If we don’t, I fear many will never re-open their premises when eventually able to do so.
“Whilst many businesses have had to physically close to the public, they are still trading their goods and services online. These don’t just include those selling food and drink who offer a takeaway service. Many shops are now turning to ‘click and collect’ and providing home delivery services.

“The message is simple – Harrogate businesses are open and trading online, so please ‘Shop Harrogate Online’, and let’s help protect jobs and the local economy.”
