Ripon company wins 3D deal with US firm

A Ripon firm is celebrating having been appointed the exclusive European partner for US-based 3D printer manufacturer Formlabs.

GoPrint3D will be distributing and repairing Formlabs 3D printers from its headquarters on College Business Park, in addition to selling 3D printers via its website, www.goprint3d.co.uk.

Formlabs, which was originally funded via crowdfunding website Kickstarter, produces a groundbreaking new product using 3D printing technology known as stereolithography. The Form 1+ prints professional-quality 3D models from the desktop at a fraction of the cost of professional 3D printers.

Jo Young, managing director of GoPrint3D and Express Group, said: “We are delivering 3D printers all over Europe and we have set up a repair-line here in Yorkshire to support the one-year warranty.”
