Alexander Armstrong, who is best known for being one half of comedy sketch duo Armstrong and Miller, and for hosting the TV gameshow Pointless, was guest speaker at a sold-out Harrogate Business Luncheon, which was sponsored by law form LCF Barber Titleys.

The event was the final one of the year’s three Business Luncheons; other recent speakers have included actor Warwick Davis and former Olympic sprinter Kris Akabusi.

Armstrong spoke about his life and his experiences in showbusiness. He was a Footlights member at Cambridge, has been a frequent guest host on the BBC’s satirical panel game Have I Got News for You, and is also an accomplished baritone. He will release his debut album next month.

The vote of thanks was given by Richard Davis, partner at LCF Barber Titleys.

The event was organised by Howard Matthews Partnership, Williams Investment Management, Graham Scott of Lloyds TSB Bank plc and the Harrogate Advertiser Series.
