The announcement, which comes a month after the company filed for liquidation, will also see its flagship Oxford Street branch close.

A total of 320 jobs so far will be lost nationwide.

Other branches of Debenhams which will not be reopening include Portsmouth, Staines, Weymouth and Worcester.

The company said it is still in discussions with landlords over the future of its remaining 100 plus outlets but the danger remained the business would close completely unless a buyer was found.
