Launched by a "small team of beer lovers", the latest arrival in this area's flourishing craft beer scene will open for a special event this Friday and Saturday.

Hosted by Turning Point Brew Co, the doors will be open to all at the new brewery in Knaresborough which will have its own tap room.

The passionate and creative team behind Turning Point Brew Co, which was based in Kirbymoorside but has moved to Grimbald Park off Wetherby Road in Knaresborough in order to get more space, increase capacity and add a tap room, say they have a clear mission - to "brew our favourite beers, and have a good time."

And they add: "to celebrate our move to Knaresborough, we wanted to open our doors as soon as possible, to invite everyone to join us for a first visit to our new brewery.

"The bar will be stocked with beers fresh from the source, and you'll get a first look into our new home."

The Turning Point Brew Co event in Knaresborough, which starts at 2pm this Friday, December 6, and noon on Saturday, will be dog friendly (on leads please) and child friendly.

There will also be food available at this weekend's launch event which will feature a large range of their beers in keg, cask, bottles and cans.

Turning Point Brew was originally launched in Kirkbymoorside by Cameron Brown and Aron McMahon two and a half years ago in 2017 with the aim of creating unique beers, often in collaboration with other leading independent breweries.

They brew everything from barrel aged stouts and double IPAs to modern cask beer.

Their imaginative creations boast names like Acid Queen, Urban Spaceman, Disco Flux, Swerve Driver and Yellow Matter Custard.

Such has been Turning Point's success, they sometimes export their products abroad.
